Club Tour to Fraser Island
Send more money!!!
We drove to the North end of the Fraser and the lighthouse. Only the rigs with better ground clearance made it up to the lighthouse but the others lightened the weight of their vehicles by emptying a fer tinnies from the esky while waiting for the ones who made it. The weather is average but it's ok. The scenery is great, the driving is fun and the menu tastes pretty good too. Boy is the fuel here expensive or what?
No news Mobile phone comms poor
Corey broke a U bolt on his trailer. Temporary repairs were done and then it was time to get a movre on so that they didn't miss the last ferry for the day to Fraser Is
I'll keep the website updated when I get more reports. Communication is reliable but scarce.
On Saturday the rest caught up.
The convoy was held up by road closures near Grafton because of flooding. They found an alternate route around the floods and by lunch time they made it to Byron Bay.
Corey & Paul set off. Corey Stayed the night at Forster and picked up Danny. Paul stayed at Port Maquarie.
